Émile Durkheim
Hello everyone, today I am going to talk about a character that I admire, because he is one of the most important sociologists in the history and his ideas are the basis of modern sociology. These ideas are a good way to study the society!! For these reasons and many more I admire him. His name is Émile Durkheim. Émile Durkheim was a french sociologist, who was born in April, 1858 and died in November, 1916. He formally established academic discipline and, along Karl Marx and Max Weber, is considered as the founding father of modern sociology. Throughout his life he wrote several works that are fundamental for modern sociology. Big part of his theory and methodology are in the book "the rules of sociological methods" that it was published in 1895. In this book Durkheim shows us "the social facts", that are one of his most important ideas, and this is fundamental for understand the modern sociology.
